Blogs for gundam fans ~ Even though not that frequent updating, but will try my best to put my blog in better shape ~ ^^
Some of the my gunpla are built according from other sources such as Dengeki Hobby, Hobby Japan & other modeling sites.
Feel free to leave comments on my blog, so that I could improve 'em.
=)
Too bad the poseability is kinda restricted though, apart having lots of details to deal with.
Anyway, I enjoy building this kit ~
If the funnels won't enough, there's 2 zooks for the kill. RAWR !
So time to put it into my cupboards before top coating it.
Overall, this is 1 huge improvement for a bootleg kit. The surface is rough, thin excess still got on some parts, loose parts on skirts & funnels etc. But since they copied it from a resin kit, so this is a good buy (also good for lazy bump like me who don't want to deal with resin ^^") & I'm satisfied with it. If anyone have doubt about this kit before getting 1, might as well look to my blog 1st. Heh ~
Done the right leg 1st to get the 1st impression on painting the details all over it.
Building the left leg, starting from the foot. All grooves are panel lined with a Gundam Marker panel liner gray FYI.
Thrusters. Well in the manual book the thrusters was silver colored inside & outside, not my liking, so I just paint silver inside, & some gold for the spring-like area. Looks good to me. =)
Joint for the knee also follow some of the color scheme from the manual book, like the red pipes. Thruster on legs also painted just like the backpack's thrusters color scheme.
Reminder for those who own this Gundoom; cut that connector into half for better snap fit, I MEAN IT. It's way too fit to push it in.
& TADAA ~ It finally standing on its own feet !
Side view ~
Rear view ~
Looks cool & weird at the same time. Cool = The amount of details on it. Weird = half ass armor piece, like going to show it's "flesh" lolz !
Ah another thrusters ! Gotta paint it tonight later. =)
Few hours later & I had the skirts done for it. Nice ~
Closer view.
Side view. Totally different with the Original version's side skirt.
Rear view. Bad thing was that front & rear skirts is too loose, need to put some UHU glue or few drops of cements on it to make it sturdier.
Behold !
Epic in the making, Double Fin Funnel Weapon System ~
Rear view of the DFFWS.
Now, should I paint the yellow portions on all funnels or change to other color, darker ?
I take quite a while building this bootleg kit, taking that I want it to look "much like a original kit" ..
Anyway, to the progress ~
Front view of assembled head & body. I must say I like the panel line all over it, though having tough times to draw 'em all. ^^"
Side view. Got abit details between the arm connector, which I just panel line it instead paint gray on it. Well, detailing can wait, I need to build it 1st ~
Nevertheless, put a smile on your face ~~
Moar panel lines on the back of upper waist part & helmet.
So this all what I've did within a week. Slow huh ?
But, nothing is satifying me than all 12 fin funnels mounted on its backpack ~~
A unused runner is always had its useful, like above pics...^^" Cocoons of masking tape of parts. Well that time lazy to use mah' satay stick since I had to do it 1 at a time...
Parts that are cocoon'd on the runner; primed so that yellow color would look much better.
& lastly, Nu's emblem on the shield is just too cool to ressist ! Too bad the panel line kinda blur after I use the eraser though...Never use a water based panel line or real touch marker, it makes it much more worse, better stick to the panel liner marker, to be safe & fast work.
Before that, I must say that I'm impress with this bootleg kit. The details, how "stiff" the parts to snap on it etc...i mean WOW !
Anyway, less talk crap, let's begin.
Ok, the worse nightmare ever, 12 fin funnels !! It's not simple....
So I cut all the parts for the mid section of the funnels...
*snap snap*
2 hours later...
Ok done..& I'm beat up already...=3="
So I continue fixing up all 12 fins (didn't take any pics...)....
FINALLY IT'S DONE !!!
Took me 3 days, why I took it so long ? It suck my soul so much that I can't bear to look at it on weekends...haha....^^"
Proceed.
The next to build was the Dual Bazooka. Oh yeah ~ Moar firepower ~
Done fix it only to notice something.... The surface ain't glossy ! Darn... Had most of the parts panel lined with a water-based gundam marker... DARN BLOODY MARY DARN !!
..........anyway, done both zooks now. =)
Now I'ma rest my soul to recharge it up before building it again.
